What Snapture collects

The Snapture extension does not upload page content, screenshots, or capture metadata to Snapture servers. Capture preparation, preview rendering, export, settings, and the screenshot cache run locally in Chrome.

The website does not include advertising or analytics scripts. A hosting provider may process ordinary technical request data, such as an IP address, user agent, and request time, to deliver and protect the site.

How the extension works

• Snapture accesses the active tab only after you start a capture, then temporarily prepares and restores that page for the screenshot.
• Capture sessions and screenshots are stored locally in the extension's IndexedDB cache so a preview can survive a service-worker restart.
• Sessions expire after 30 minutes. Cleanup runs when a new capture starts, and you can clear completed screenshots from the extension settings at any time.

Support requests

The support page builds a report in your browser and opens a draft email to support@snapture.app. Nothing is submitted to Snapture until you choose to send that email. Your email provider then handles the message according to its own privacy policy.

Downloads and third parties

The extension download is served as a static file from the website. Snapture does not sell personal information or share capture data with third parties. Browser, hosting, and email providers may process information necessary to provide their services.

Your choices

You can clear the extension's stored screenshot cache from Settings, remove the extension through Chrome, or decline to send a support email. For privacy questions, contact support@snapture.app.
